RE: Leaks
As someone who cannot use a nasal mask, I have tried many FFM.  An Amara View didn't work (for me).  The best has so far been a F & P Simplus.  A P20 with foam sorta works, but I need to use a ResMed Gecko.  A ResMed Mirage Quattro is third.

RE: Leaks
When I go to bed I hook up the hose in the back, I fix the mask on my face and hit start.

RE: Leaks
You've come a long way Larry, and with lots of struggle. Keep it up sir.
I found that a FFM is not as terrible as one imagines. I find that once a person has gotten used to the full face mask, they simply don't realize that they are wearing it sometimes. It's like wearing a hat often and touching your head to make sure it's still up there. I would encourage you to try it for sure. It's a big change for what you've been struggling with but it's sometimes necessary to change gears and go a different direction.

Thank you for the encouragement. I'm going to give the pillow mask one more try along with the chin strap they sent me.

RE: Leaks
Well, it's good that I know now a chin strap is needed with a pillow mask in my case.  I'd like to know how a full face mask feels. Are there many different size's?  I've imagined that I'd be sweating underneath it. I think I'd like to try a full face mask.

RE: Leaks
There are different sizes, extra small, small, medium and large. There are different models and I suggest you try a few on while your at your provider. If you can, get them to fit your mask while your hooked up to the machine. Might consider bringing your machine and hose with you for the fitting. Try laying down with it on as if you are sleeping if you can. A good DME will accommodate you.

As far as sweating, I've never experienced sweating. There is constantly fresh air coming into the mask and I find it comfortable and cool.

I don't know if you've ever worn a filter mask before, but it is nothing like that.
