going to take more getting used to than I had hoped, but it does
have some promise. I usually use a Quattro full face. Leak control
is the main problem with that mask. The bad thing is I have to adjust
it tighter than I'd like, to fully control leakage and it irritates the bridge of my nose. I can live with it but wanted the hope of something
better.
The Liberty feels tight even when not tightened down, but not in a really bad way. No mouth leaks whatsoever. Around my left nare a small leak develops from time to time that is difficult to fix in a semi-conscious state. I purchased a set of small pillows to test as I'm using medium now to see if that helps. I find that leaks I can fix without
waking fully I can accept. Ones that require full consciousness are not
acceptable. Most Quattro leaks I could just pull the mask out a little
and reseat it on my face to cure a leak. The Liberty is difficult. You can fix a nare leak, but not for me, quickly enough.
The Liberty has promise, I woke up with only light red marks that
dissipated quickly. I can't call it comfortable, but tolerable and it
controls leaks well. I'll give it a week or so for adjustment and report
back. I'm learning that tightening a mask for leak control isn't always
the thing to do. Also I was so stuck on symmetry for a while I'd even
measure where the Velcro attached. Symmetry isn't always desirable
so now I shut my eyes and adjust by feel only, then use the "Mask Fit"
setting to fine tune.
