Machine not showing proper hours in sleep report. Sessions show major disruption

Machine not showing proper hours in sleep report. Sessions show major disruption
Have had a problem where Resmed airsense 10 has not been showing correct hours used in sleep report  or many weeks now. Finally download &  Looked at Oscar and it shows many many sessions of mask  off and on. That is baloney.  I rarely  get  up during the night or take of mask during night.  I am wondering if this may be a true med condition or massive errors from the machine ? Wife says I seem to be sleeping ok. Machine is on and running  when wake. Have tried new hoses  and masks.  I Don't get it.

You probably are using the Smart Start option. This has been reported as having problems with the data reporting. Try turning it off and see if this corrects the problem. If it doesn't, you can always turn it back on.

Make sure your power connection to the wall and the plug into the CPAP machine are firmly seated. I would unplug and plug everything back in.

Also, try replacing the SD card.

If none of these approaches work, your machine may have a fault. How old is your CPAP machine.

Yeah, seems to happen with or without smart start.  Had a problem last year where the machine would actually turn on by itself ( NOT COOLING MODE)
full blow. Turning off smart start DID fix that problem but not the one I have currently.

Your last post sounds a lot like the power connector has been stressed and may not be making a good connection. If you are using the humidifier with or without a ClimateLine hose, it may be exceeding the power draw of the connection when the humidifier plate or the hose is is warming. Just a guess.

The Machine is about 5 years old more than 10K hours use. Have tried changing to another wall outlet.  The aggravation is the Tech told me "It's because I wake up and take the mask off every night"  Lol. HA. Have been on CPAP for about 20 years now and I do not Sleepwalk, lol. Never had this kind of problem with any of my machines before. This machine worked fine until the last few months or so. I really like this model (AirSense10)   but right now cannot get a new one or any other for awhile because of "Supply Chain issues".  As far as the tech over the phone @ the VA ,  I doubt they looked at all the data they get from the daily resmed ping transmission. I only saw the session reports when I downloaded Oscar today. Great program . Lots of info that I will look closer at. Way better than the Resmed Air site.

Ok, will try turning the humidifier off and move the machine closer to another wall and different outlet. Also will go to best buy and get another SD card to try when I get a chance.   Not sure if I wanna try to reformat the current card and lose the data. Maybe my Doc has it backed up on the cloud  though ?

OSCAR makes a backup copy of all the data it uses, or you could use OSCAR to make a zip copy of the entire SD card, and save that on your computer. Help->Troubleshooting->Create zip copy of CPAP data card

just sayin'

Cloudberry, what is your leak graph doing?

A couple of months ago we had a brand-new CPAP user who was having his machine turn on and off multiple times each night, and OSCAR showed that the machine NEVER measured any leaks at all. Almost-no-leaks is great, never-any-leaks is very suspicious! (He tried the experiment of holding his mask away from his face right after he turned the machine on, so he got big loud leaking. He looked at the data and it showed zero leaks.)

It was obvious from looking at the data that a ResMed machine needs to be measuring leak reasonably accurately, or it just completely loses any idea of what it should do.

The user's DME replaced the machine because a sensor was broken. With a new machine, everything looked much more believable, and the new machine didn't turn itself off over and over all night.

I wasn't referring to the wall outlet, but to the cylindrical plug connection on the back of the AS10.
