Machine won't save changes??

Machine won't save changes??
I know how to get into the settings and change pressures, and other settings, I've done it many times. Recently though the machine has been behaving weird. Some of the changes I make are not being saved.
Oh yeah, I have to leave the SD card out to make any changes. If the card is left in, it starts beeping and says "SD card error"

The worst part is, when I start therapy, it starts at full pressure, 15. I hit the ramp button and it starts the ramp at 4, and continues to increase to the full pressure over 30 mins or so. It's no longer auto adjusting pressure it seems, just ramping and staying at the max pressure. I try to change the ramp setting but they won't take. It's blasting me at full pressure all night long. It usually wakes me up and I hit Ramp again. Running in A-Flex mode.

Strangely this started happening after I cancelled my last meeting with my sleep Dr. So I'm wondering if it's possible for the Dr. to program some kind of change to the settings to take effect on a future date, and lock me out, forcing me to come in to get it fixed? I know, it sounds like a conspiracy theory, but the machine started acting weird about a week after my scheduled appointment.

Dont-know

Hi simbot, welcome aboard
I think you,re on the right track, you cannot make changes with SD card in the machine
Either make the changes and use the machine without the card or get a new card
sound to me the machine set on fixed pressure 15 (not auto) with ramp start at 4 for 30 mins until reaches 15

Edit: maybe reformatting the card might helps

I'm assuming your using the Providers manual ? Try reprogramming your machine again then go back in and check the settings again to see if they stayed . Also leave the SD card out for the night and see if the settings stay then put it back in the next day and see if the settings change . could be the card . If your not using the providers manual you can down load one from this site. Idea

I've always made changes with the card installed before. it is set to A-Flex, not fixed pressure. Even when I take the card out and run it with no card, I get the same behavior. I usually leave the card out, I insert it about once a week to download the details, then take it out again. I'll try reformatting on my PC.

RE: Machine won't save changes??
I have not been able to find the providers manual on this site. I'm not exactly sure which model I have, all the names are so similar. I opened all the manuals I could find here and none of them look like the one I have.

The label underneath say REMstar 550P. Underneath the LCD display it says "REMstart Auto A-FLEX"
Where can I find the manual for it?

Thanks

The clinical manual available via Email ... section three

Model number printed on the label at the bottom of the machine (remove water tank before checking)
PR System One Auto ... 550/560 US - 551/561 Canada/Australia

Yeah I saw section 3, there is a long list of models. I guess I have Respironics PR System One REMstar Auto with A-flex

It would be nice if there was some information mapping the model that the machine is marked with "550" with the list of model descriptions, then I would know for sure.

Thanks for your help!

Hi simbot,

I think setup manual for your machine is called

"Respironics PR System One REMstar Auto with A-flex"

and add "50 series"
