Making the cpap just a little bit quieter

Making the cpap just a little bit quieter
I have the Resmed Autosence 10 and it's very quiet but since it sits on the nightstand next to my pillow it's still kind of loud in my right ear at night. Anyone have any suggestions on what to do to make things a a little bit quieter? Thinking about moving my nightstand over a few more inches so I can put it on the floor between it and the bed, but that makes reaching it to turn it on and off a bit of a pain.

Hi forcedfx! - Welcome
You don't want to put it on the floor. The first 61 cm (24") is the dirtiest air in your domicile. Several members have drilled an access hole in the back of their nightstand, to allow for the hose and power cord, and placed their CPAP in the upper drawer.

I put mine in the top drawer of my nightstand and it worked real good. It was easy to do.

I did have to do a little cutting on the back panel of the nightstand, so I waited until my wife went to the grocery store.    Dancing

I also used a plastic lid to a small container under the unit Incase I spilled some water. I didn’t want to make a mess and warp the drawer.

Putting it on a mat might isolate the sound.

I run a humidifier near my bed.  It creates enough white noise that I never hear my pap machine.
Machine:  ResMed AirCurve 10 Vauto
Mask:  Bleep DreamPort Sleep Solution

The heck with these armatures, I keep mine in the bottom drawer. 2" hole in the back of the cabinet for power and the air tube.  Old pic. I have straightened my drawer knobs, thrown away the land-line phone and changed headboards.

I use high decibel earplugs. It cuts out any sounds from my machine, but really what i wear them for is to shut out the noise from my husband's mask leaks. He refuses to do anything about the leaks--hates the full face mask he could wear, and fights with s stuffed up nose nightly. Sometimes he sounds like an old fashioned coffee peculator and his machine is working hard and noisy if he has leaks 30% to 40% of the night.
