Probably what he said...
The person was arrested for discharging a firearm within city limits.
Shows how altitudes differ around the country. In some locals it would only draw a comment: "You need to work on your shot group."

I found that in today's society, a hammer is a lot better (and quieter). That way you don't get the local police showing up for a shots fired call. And you are right, he does need to work on his shot grouping, especially at that close of a range. Too-funny

Gah, if I called the cops every time someone shot a gun around here? I'd be put on the county's ignore list. Silly rednecks and their desire to kill innocent roadsigns and beer bottles.

We tend to be a little "duller" around here. Perhaps more laid back? But we still have occasions when someone gets a bit crazy go nutz. For instance just the other day we had a "drive by shouting."

Guy down the road where we lived not long ago has a canon. Too-funny Another guy has a really well built personal firing range. We don't even look up except to tsk tsk when someone on full auto is burning thru $1000. City slickers moved in and complained. Were horrified! Township trusties basically said bug off. OTOH never locked the house and left keys in the truck so didn't have to find them.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
