Newbie to the forum here. Old timer to sleep apnea and CPAP usage.
I initiated a new S9 last night. It is my third machine...far and away the finest CPAP I have used. I made it through the night very well.

Thanks to to Apnea Board, I have adjusted my clinic settings and will do much better tonight. I echo many feelings written on this board that it is a travesty that a fine machine is limited to a clinical tech discretion as to the options I may use.

The purpose of my first thread is to express my humble gratitude to the folks that have made this forum possible. If you fell the same, reply and tell them...

welcome kennyt, we don't need to be in the hands of tech's as much any more, we can take our our therapy into our own hands, we can be much more independent than in the past.
Just try to get your settings right as soon as you can, things like the ramp and EPR and when you ready down load either ResScan or Sleepyhead software which is free and start looking at what your doing, you'll be amazed what you can see, good luck with the new machine I find it great.
