RE: Still tired after a year...
I'm thinking of switching from a Quattro fx to the mirage also to see if I get any better results with that.

Good luck with the mirage. Neither one worked for me but hope that it does for you

I'm all up for suggestions, what do you prefer? I feel my FX needs to go though.

Nice! I'd like to take at a look at the software for the auto-capable machines when running in CPAP mode. There is probably a comment like this:

// Patient is about to have an Apnea event, I can fix this if I just
// increase the pressure +1. However, dimwit prescription has
// me locked in, so I'll just record the fact that this happened and track
// how long the patient goes without breathing with no action on my part

Haha that seems to basically be it. As someone else said it doesn't make much sense at all to not use the auto feature.

since November, I have used the wisp nasal mask and a chin strap. It seems to be working for me. I don't have the headgear issues I had with the Resmeds and I sure don't have the leak issues I had with them! What works for me doesn't always work for others though. Masks are so individual. But, you know that I am sure.
