Mask Suggestion for High Pressures

Mask Suggestion for High Pressures
Can anybody suggest a type of mask that works better with BiPAP pressures around 22 cm?

Asking for a friend. I gave him the suggested mask fitting info and he says it doesn't help. He prefers a full-face mask if there's one out there that handles high pressure better than others.

Thanks.

I've used the Fisher and Paykel Vitera full face. It can handle the ASV when I was on it, and my RT says it's still going to be fine when I move to the Astral, ventilator class they has Max IPAP of 50.

All masks need adjusted and fitted correctly. Fitting includes size of cushion and if applicable, the headgear. Adjusting is the straps and correctly placing mask.

Thanks, Dave.

Always helpful.  Thanks

Edit: And holy crap. IPAP of 50? That’s tropical storm strength.

RE: Mask Suggestion for High Pressures
Welcome,

That's just Max IPAP it's capable of, not anything scripted. Just demonstrating how much these masks should be good for. BTW that's still below 1 PSI, where 1 PSI equals 70.3 cmH2O.

I think the ResMed COPD was capable of 30, the rest of AirCurve hitting 25. Some Respironics BPAP can hit 30 as well.
