? Masks to Limit VIRTUS Transmission

? Masks to Limit VIRTUS Transmission
Anyone else out there get flashbacks to the days before being diagnosed with sleep apnea whenever you don a face mask?? I feel like I can't catch my breath when I have one on. ? ? Now if they supplied the same wonderful continuous stream of fresh air like our CPAPs....
To all, to each, a fair good-night,
And pleasing dreams, and slumbers light.

RE: ? Masks to Limit VIRTUS Transmission
I took to CPAP therapy very well from the very 1st night. No problems either during my in-lab sleep study. I was actually able to sleep both nights of my in-lab study.

In regards to the Covis-19 face masks, no issue wearing one either. I've been a motorcycle fanatic all my life since about age 7 or so. Always wore a helmet. Once licensed for the street, I've worn a full-face helmet.

Don't know if a helmet is partially responsible for my ability to adapt to wearing a face mask or not, but I do know it hasn't hurt anything.  Bigwink

BTW.....that stream of fresh air that a CPAP produces isn't fresh. It's only as good as the air in your bedroom.

fortunately I never had a problem adapting to my cpap mask. I do huff & puff a little more than usual walking up a hill, say, with what I assume is a surgical mask. glasses fog too. we used to spit in our dive masks; haven't tried it on glasses yet.

Me neither. Having a piece of cloth over my mouth and nose, however, is a different story.

I made some masks and found them hard to breath.  Then someone suggested keeping the lower strap looser and that seemed to help.

I find the purchased surgical masks easier to breathe through especially since I  saw a video on how to tie them differently. !didn't save the video but fold in half lengthwise,  tie a knot really close, poke the middle part of the end inside.  Gives a little space between the nose and mask.
