RE: Medicare and Sleep Apnea
Big Guy, and your retired military eligible for Tricare4Life? My husband is so we have basic Medicare and Tricare is our secondary. It pics up the 20% Medicare doesn't pay. We don't pay a cent. My CPAP supplies are under Medicare, my husband's under VA which is completely free.

I don't know much about it, as I didn't have any service-connected injuries or disabilities.

I just have the basic Medicare, and I think that's just part's A & B. My BC/BS picks up whatever Medicare doesn't, 100%.

Advantage plans are not offered by Medicare. They are offered by private insurance companies that contract with medicare. If you're medicare copays are covered by other coverage you would probably be worse off with an advantage plan. Here's a link if your interested in learning more.

Thanks Big Guy, I defer to Melman's answer with the link. I answered as I did because my jumbled mess from the Gov. made a jumbled mess with my 3 remaining brain cells. Yes Advantage equals private.

Thanks for the clarification. My co-pays are covered by my BC/BS plan.
