Migrating sleepyhead>oscar AND changing machines ?

Migrating sleepyhead>oscar AND changing machines ?
Until recently, I used a Philips machine and viewed data with an old copy of Sleepyhead.
Now I have a ResMed, but have not viewed the data yet.  I intend to start using Oscar.

Does this seem correct ?
Install Oscar
Allow Oscar to import my Philips data in the Sleepyhead folder/data on my pc.
Put ResMed sd card in and allow Oscar to read the new ResMed data.

I dont know whats on the sd card, as far as timeline. This is a "loaner" from my provider. I assume its a new or at least formatted sd card, but maybe not.  If some older data is on the sd, will it overwrite my recently imported Sleepyhead data ?
Am I correct in thinking that any import of Sleepyhead data should be done on the first run of Oscar , and not later on after I have loaded the ResMed data ?

Before doing migration and new machine import do a backup to old data. You can copy whole OSCAR data directory to another place or preferably to another disk or memory stick. Then you can do those. And if something goes wrong, you can copy old data from backups again to data directory.

I have done a migration with OSCAR 1.0.1 or older version. I had Resmed AirSense 10 from year 2015 to year 2016. And then another AirSense 10 from 2019 furhter. I started with the second cpap machine using Oscar. And then I migrated old machine data to Oscar. It worked fine. But take a backup your data before doing anything migrating or new machine data importing.

Seeing that the original post is several days old, this is probably too late.

Prior to using the AS10, you need to reset the unit back to factory defaults and format the SD card. Then set it up as needed. This will eliminate any previous data. Also, since you are changing CPAP brands, it would be better to create a new profile to go with the AS10. Otherwise, your statistics can be skewed because certain parameters are reported in a different range or format between the two brands. Basically, don't mix your liquors or CPAP brands.

RE: Migrating sleepyhead>oscar AND changing machines ?
Hi There
I have now merged over to Oscar from the old Sleepyhead program. I haven't dowloaded the data for quite a while and did so today.
I did the normal upload on sleepyhead and since October last year, there is only summary data not the graphical data. Can anyone advise why that would be? I thought it was a problem with sleepy head support thing hence why I moved over to Oscar.
Any advice would be appreciated.
