It is thin, but it does the job. Hoping that longer term I'll form the habit and not need it.

Yes I try and use the tongue technique but I am sure once I fall asleep I am sure I fail to do this.

"RNeil, does it stay on all night, and is it easy to remove it in the morning?"

Yes, the medical tape I got a Walmart stays on all night even though my skin is on the oily side. But if you really want to, you can overcome the tape and open your mouth. I think that is necessary for safety. I think it's actually the NexCare tape that Mesentaria described.

I'm using Fixomull stretch as other tapes I've tried won't keep my mouth shut.  Very flexible and strong.

We have gotten a lot of good ideas to try, let’s see if anyone else has something to add.

There are those who totally disagree with taping.
Anyway I have been using 3M Micropore Surgical Tape 1" since I started. Always foldover one end on itself to ensure I have an easy tab to pull off if in a hurry.
I am clean shaven so 1" works for me.
All the other methods didn't work.

The doctor says coffee does not affect my tinnitus and it's got lots of antioxidants....however, the after dinner drinks are a different matter altogether.

I use a quite heavy duty chin strap but use the chin bit across my mouth.  Close lips inwards before putting on. Works well

Yeah, I loved my P10 pillows, but I increasingly mouth breathed. I tried tape... well you guys know and we're all different. I found it claustrophobic. I'm now using a full face mask and sleeping much, much better and for hours at a time. The p10 seemed to be working by the numbers but in fact it wasn't. I feel a lot better now with a full mask. AND: if the power goes out, I can still breathe through it. Comforting.
