My AHI Readings

My AHI Readings
After about 6 months usage my ResMed S9 has settled into a pretty constant pressure of 11.6. My AHI readings are pretty constant between .2 and 1.6. I think the machine is doing the job for me. I was just wondering if the board members would agree?

RE: My AHI Readings
Hi jimvers,

Usually this is considered pretty low for an AHI. But this you get to analyse what sort of events you had. Ie OA,CA,HI and the length of those events?
What was your AHI during the sleep study?

And the most important thing. Do you feel any better? Do you feel well and rested?

Prima facie that looks good.

Your machine must be an auto -- which flavor of auto?
Pressure range 4-12 and you run near 11.6.
Is that median, 95th percentile or maximum?

Some things in your profile don't make sense...
Your machine "resmed s9. Which model. Look near the start button.
I think you mean Resmed H5I for humidifier. Not, Respironics H51.

Yes it is an auto, and it does have the resmed H51 Humidifier, not resperonics.

Jim, you're doing very well. How do you feel during the day? You really don't need to change anything, but if you want to try and drive that AHI a little lower you could raise your minimum from 4 to 5 or 6. Nothing more than that for a few days though. I'd leave everything else just where it is.

Hi jimvers, welcome to the forum.

There are different flavors of auto. up near the start button it should say Autoset, VPAP Auto, or Escape Auto. The question is which one of those you have.

The other question that I have is what is your 95% leak rate?

Best Regards,

PaytonA

You and I have almost identical numbers and length of PAP experience and in my opinion we are doing very well. I have been on PAP for 8 months, have an average AHI of .76, average autoset pressure of 10.13. average 95% pressure of 12.34. My autoset range is set a 9-14 and I'm sleeping 7.5 hours nightly and feeling very well. And I have this forum to thank for helping me get my therapy on track.
