My Sleep Study Results

RE: My Sleep Study Results
Thanks, Ted! I did get a report with a table.
My best AHI was 2.6 at 9 cm. with one central and two hypopneas over 75 minutes.
8 cm was AHI 12.0 over 26 min
10 cm was 9.1 AHI over 44.5 min... but the pillows were blowing off at 10 until I snugged the straps up.

It's not only about RDI, there are other factors.

I had a very good RDI at 7cm, below.

So, why was I titrated to 12cm?

It looks like it was to get your oxygen levels up. My table doesn't have an SaO2 average by pressure... just the minimums in the table, and a summary elsewhere.

You are correct! That night my Sa02 minimum % did not exceed 90% until 12cm of pressure despite REM at 9cm!

According to the Guidelines, 12cm appears to be the optimal pressure for me that night while supine and in REM sleep.

This was confirmed by the technologist's written Comments, and also by a separate written report by a sleep doctor who reviewed the sleep study.

Just found this document which is a simpler version explaining titration Guidelines:

http://www.aastweb.org/Resources/Guideli...ummary.pdf

I believe in according optimal or good pressure in the lab considerable weight, assuming the titration performed conformed to the Clinical Guidelines.

You might want to consider asking why you were only titrated to the low end of 'good' pressure.
