N30i mask frame question

N30i mask frame question
I love this mask, which is still new to me. However it tends to ride up in the back. Plakky mentioned using "stretchy foam athletic tape" to help keep the back strap in place. Any clues as to what that might be? Or any other tricks to accomplish the same end?

RE: N30i mask frame question
Ha! - sorry about my vocabulary black-out in my earlier reply!  Try an Amazon search for "self adherent cohesive bandages wrap" and you will see what it is; also available at any CVS or other drugstore, etc.   I use the Dreamwear "with arms" headgear on the N30I mask and wrap the bandage stuff around the center of the back part a few times.  (Also ended up cutting smaller strips to wrap around the two plastic parts that attach the headgear to the frame, since my hair kept getting caught in those when I pulled the mask off.)

The other option I have used to keep headgear from riding up was a strategically-placed ponytail.  The (slight) disadvantage to that for me was turning over during the night since my hair creates a thick ponytail.

(Edited to add: I believe the wrap would work on the normal N30i headgear, too, but haven't tried it myself.)

You need the dreamwear headgear with arms. It is on Amazon for less.

RE: N30i mask frame question
Apparently some people pull their ponytail through the gap in the headgear to stop it from riding up. Does not do me much good with my buzz cut.

Once I realized what was happening, I managed to subconsciously control it. Does not say much for my sleep quality I guess. I would also quickly check the back of my head if I woke up in the night. I was thinking you could also attach the headgear to your clothes, assuming you wear any.

I really liked the P30i, same frame and headgear as the N30i, but I couldn't stop the mouth leaks no matter what I tried. I think my pressure was part of the issue. I was considering wrapping the 3M tape around my head a few times, which might also keep the headgear in place. Although I think one of those pressure wrap bandages would be much more effective, but maybe not as safe. Maybe a ratchet strap, so you had a quick release. ?
