Where did you buy your CPAP+mask? Good find. Sourced mine locally.

Got it from Supplier #14 and there was a 20% discount for father's day so I lucked out and got it for $733 (Php 37.5k). Locally I spoke to the Philippine reamed distributor and it comes out to $1,660 (Php 80k). I attached the screenshot of my order. oh and they don't have the latest masks yet so no F30 -----

RE: NEWBIE : Newly Diagnosed 39YO Male with an AHI of 74.1
Done for the 1st night! Bought 3 masks;
- Resmed F30 (med) - Dreamwear Nasal Pillow (med) - Dreamwear Nasal Cushion I used the F30 and it was pretty good with minor leaks. I'll try the Dreamwear tom night. I forgot to fix the clinical settings as I thought the DME would pre-enter the settings. Apparently not, but my settings last night were; Ramp Time : 10mins Humidity Level : 4 Pressure Relief : on Smart Start : on Mask : Fullface Tube : SlimLine Clinical Mode : CPAP Set Pressure : 14 Start Pressure : 4 EPR Type : Full Time EPR Level : 1 Humidity : 4 My results where (I'll study how to do the OSCAR later) Used Hours : 6.6 Pressure : 13.9 Leak : 18 L/min AHI : 9.1 TOTAL AI : 7.8 CENTRAL AI : 5.50 I woke up a bit sleepy but I felt more rested. I usually need some time before I can get up. This morning I was able to get up right away. I honestly thought it was going to be more profound. But maybe also because I slept a little later. Most of my discomfort was some nose pinching, and some air leaking while side sleeping. Also my mouth was a bit dry once I woke up. Lastly as the pressure slowly rose (since it was in CPAP mode) my ears would pop like I feel when diving. I'll try the following settings tonight; Mode : APAP Set Pressure : 14 Start Pressure : 6 EPR Type : Full Time EPR Level : 2 Humidity : 6

If you put a daily chart up , set out as suggested in oscar at the top of the page. It would help to see what is happening. There may be positional apnea and clustering etc,

For auto-cpap, from machine data or software. You can set the min pressure 1 or 2cm below 95%. Or clinicians commonly use the maximum or 95% pressure for fixed pressure CPAP, this can also be used for min pressure. https://aasm.org/resources/practiceparam...rating.pdf

Hi Guys,
Please see my chart, still have yet to study how to read it.

Did you get the clinical setup manual from the top of the page? I would have it in auto mode and min 10, max 20 and see where the machine wants to land. Then review for the CA. The f30 is leaking too much. there is a mask fit link in my signature.

I'd stick with the full face mask while you set up, it takes mouth breathing off the table.

RE: NEWBIE : Newly Diagnosed 39YO Male with an AHI of 74.1
Hi Guys,
Got a better score at 6.27. My revised settings were; Standard Settings Ramp Time : 10mins Climate Ctrl : Auto Tube Temp : Auto Pressure Relief : On Smart Start : Off Mask : Fullface Clinical Settings Therapy Mode : AutoSet Max Pressure : 20 Min Pressure : 6 Mask : Full Face Comfort Response : Standard Ramp Time : 10 mins Start Pressure : 4 mins EPR Type : Full Time EPR Level : 2 I actually woke up around 5:20am this morning and based off my OSCAR graph there are a ton of events. I guess since i was awake already? Also I got a better fit on my mask because i made it tighter but it was a little more uncomfortable (but just a little). Lastly thankfully i woke up better than yesterday. But my throat was still dry. I will try for tonight to set the Min pressure to 10 as aJack suggested and tweak the humidity and temperature. I wanted to throw out a couple of questions to the community; 1) For humidity and temp what do you guys go with usually? 2) Any other suggestions so i can lower my AHI? 3) Lastly what is your EPR settings? Thanks to this wonderful community!!! |
