I wish all other countries had the same consumer rights that Australians have. We all would have had a much faster (and better) response from Philips.
For context, I live in Australia. I registered my device in July. Philips sent me an email update in August (basically saying they were working on it). Philips advised they had posted a replacement unit on 7 December, and it was delivered by courier on 8 December. The replacement parts included the "base" unit, SD card, filter, non-heated tubing, a slightly smaller power supply, and carry bag. I had to swap over my humidifier tank, heated tubing, and modem. The settings on the SD card were up to date, including the manual tweak I had done to one of the settings in consultation with the sleep specialist. I returned the old unit back to Philips (free postage but it required online registration and a trip to the local post office). As for differences between the old and new units; slight bump up in firmware version and the new unit is slightly quieter (my old unit had just under 9,000 hours run time).
The replacement unit looked new (case in pristine condition), but since I had to return the old unit, I assume that Philips are refurbishing the old units.
Started CPAP 2014. Sleepyhead within 3 weeks of start.
I had two System One machines, I travel for work.
One original from DME, second bought on-line 2016.
Saw recall, and got hose filters for both machines.
Got Resmed Airsense 10 with medicare, pain as my current network required two new patient visits (first for referral), then home sleep study for medicare.
DME agreed to take bulk order from Phillips, so I had to pay shipping since I had moved. Got that machine about 4 weeks ago.
No word from Phillips on second machine.

I live in the US. I registered on-line when first able to do so. My DS1 was originally delivered in October 2017.
Except on this board, I never heard from anyone about the recall and have ever attempted to call Philips.
I have been using a Resmed AirMini, which I purchased after this began, with no issues. Have learned that a nose pillow works fine for me. This unit does not use water, have only noticed drying in my mouth since winter started w/lower indoor humidity.
At any rate, I got an email from Philips December 20 saying that I was in line to receive a replacement machine.
Then, on December 28, received an email saying a unit had been shipped with a Fed Ex tracking number. A DS2 unit arrived December 30 and was placed on my porch (I was out of town for the holidays).
The box got wet in the rain and there was some moisture on the unit. I am drying it all out now and probably will call Philips to replace it.
I never contacted my DME, at the beginning of the recall or anytime since. Philips sent it to my house.

Ok. You're officially off the tea and cookie list.
No harm, no foul.

I immediately purchased a new Resmed Airsense 10 cpap as I hated the Dream Machine. I'm still fighting with insurance to cover the cost. However, while filing with the recall in August, I just received a new DS 2 this past week. Going to try and sale it to recup my money I spent on the Resmed machine.
