Thus it catches 100% of muffler particulate emissions and nothing else. Placing it after the blower would mean that the particles that stuck inside the blower would not be accounted for. You would be surprised how much sticks to the blower blades.

RE: Philips Respironics Recall Replacement Tally
The filter was placed at the exit from the muffler before it entered the blower.
Thus it catches 100% of muffler particulate emissions and nothing else. Placing it after the blower would mean that the particles that stuck inside the blower would not be accounted for. You would be surprised how much sticks to the blower blades.

RE: Philips Respironics Recall Replacement Tally
So I got my replacement for my DS1 and it is a DS2. I did receive a return label.
I am having a few issues though. The modem call status keeps coming up with a fail code of 1-0 no matter how many times I unplug it and plug it back in. I am about a quarter mile from an AT&T tower and it has full bars. Also, the only way I could pair it to DreamMapper app is to add it as a secondary. And I don't see any way to get the app to use it. It always wants to connect to the DS1. The quick start guide said it would retrieve my settings after it "phones home", but that is not happening. I am able to get into the provider menu and have set it all up, but sort of dead in the water with using the app.

Texas Mark....
I had an issue with having my recalled DS1 and new DS2 as primary and secondary devices. I reached out to DreamMapper Support and got the email response back below. This may address what is happening. My DS2 did download the settings when I powered it on, but it wasn't in DreamMapper when it did that. The connection the DS2 made also removed the DS1 as the primary device in DreamMapper and the DS2 was put in its place as primary. Had you assigned the DS2 as the secondary device before you powered it on or after? If you can't resolve this...... dreammapper.support@philips.com "In reviewing your account, I see that you uploaded the DreamStation 1 using Bluetooth earlier today. Devices in the secondary device field of DreamMapper can only upload to DreamMapper via Bluetooth. Please send back your DreamStation 1 as soon as possible and remove the serial number from the secondary device field when you do. If you have other questions or need assistance with anything else, please feel free to contact us. Thank you, Philips Respironics DreamMapper Support"

RE: Philips Respironics Recall Replacement Tally
I just received a replacement for a defective Dreamstation AutoCPAP dirextly from Philips Respironics. It appears to be another Dreamstation, with model number DSX500S11F. I haven't opened the box, but I'll probably set it up and see if OSCAR can still read the SD card.

RE: Philips Respironics Recall Replacement Tally
Like others, I have a confirmation number with Phillips but as of today still have no idea when I might get a replacement for my DS Bipap. I started the process to get a replacement the day I heard about the recall and my machine was five years old in April this year.
I think im buying something else regardless.

RE: Philips Respironics Recall Replacement Tally
@Raven87: I’m sorry to hear you have not received a replacement as yet.
I just got the call this morning that the replacements for both of my A40 machines are with the courier and will arrive sometime today. They’ve asked I pack my old machines to be manually booked tomorrow with a different courier (not to use the return information which apparently is in the delivery today)..not sure why…it might have something to do with the amount of material I’ve been getting into the AB filter which I’ve mentioned to them..? Anyway, I’m just hoping the machines do turn up - they’ve said this about a month ago and they never appeared - which will take away those awful VOC’s

RE: Philips Respironics Recall Replacement Tally
Thank you. I even submitted the info for the prioritization but all it says is that my order has been matched to a DME and no further action is required by me.
So, I guess I just continue to wait as I have since November of last year. Seems like they could do better? Cheers.

RE: Philips Respironics Recall Replacement Tally
@Raven87: seems they could do *much* better, and I hope they get themselves in gear and help you as a priority.
Did they disclose the assigned DME details to you..? I was thinking they might have an insider contact at Philips if you have their (DME) contact details…? Do you have a number or an email from/for Philips that can be used to follow up with them and reinstate the urgency..? And finally (I am sorry to be asking so many questions - please be assured it’s coming from a place of concern and hoping it can help) do you have a good relationship with a sleep specialist or equivalent doc in the sleep industry that can be an advocate on your behalf and have their staff call Philips for you to explain the urgency..? Sorry again for all the questions, I hope you don’t mind me writing what has come to mind |
