Need Advice-Cpap quit working- Remstar Auto A flex

RE: Need Advice-Cpap quit working- Remstar Auto A flex
I did a bit of research and though its rare your power supply could be causing your problem. The data activity message is one that comes up normally anyway.

The service required could be unrelated to the card or data but a power supply problem. Worth checking. Try a known good power supply with it and see if that fixes it or hook it up to a 12 volt car battery and see if that fixes it. If so its your power supply.

Okay, I tried it without the SD card inserted and still the same. Says"Services Required" and no air flow.
Thanks for helping.

to see if the problem is with the card or the machine

The sound I hear just reminds me of a hard disc writing- its just a momentary noise just as the "Data Activity" message displays.

I am going to look around here for similar power cord to swap out and try that next.

I will buy a new card in the morning and try that if the cord swap doesn't help. Thank you for the help.

If nothing else works try this. Go into the clinical settings Reset or "clear" the data. That will wipe all data from the machine except its blower hours and return it in data wise to a like new state. Put a new card in it.

If something in the data stored in the machine is causing the trouble that should fix it. Youll lose your data stored on the machine but probably get your machine working again.
If its a hardware problem then youll probably have to send it in to get it fixed.

Is there any beeping? Or any kind of error code to go along with the message?

Yes, it does beep continuously as it displays the "Service Required" message.

She used up her new member posts. She is getting the audible alert and visual alert for a corrupt SD card. Tried the reformat option offered by the machine. Did not work.

She is hunting for a different SD card now. That one is probably beyond help if the machine couldnt reformat it.

If she is getting a reformat the card error, and it won't clear just take the card out. The unit doesn't need the card to work, and she says she wants to get it going now so see if the unit works without the card first and let's go from there. And feel free to PM if you can't post.

Galactus. Its a 550. Been working with her over pm. She may have a corrupt SD card but her problem is a locked up blower. We got to the point finally where she could try to start it and the blower motor gives a little jerk then locks. Think shes going to get a new one.
