Glad your wife is doing well. Diet and weight loss is the key more than anything else.

She's recently diagnosed with diabetes, it runs in the family, and she's serious about the diet. She's a trooper.

I hope it's Type II and her diet will free her of it as happened for me.

It is type II. She's on metformin and doing well. Her a1c is well managed. Good to go!

RE: Need Help Choosing a CPAP Machine
My wife was on Metformin, and experiencing both fairly frequent moderate highs and at first occasional then at least once a week extreme lows that were making her fear for her life.

New Doc took one look at that, got her off, told her to just eat sensibly for a couple of weeks so they could get a new baseline, and she hasn't had more than a very occasional minimal high since. No lows of course and basically if she were not already diagnosed then she would not be diabetic, or even pre-diabetic.

Couple of weeks ago, she got an A1C and that's good too.

No meds, no diabetes (for now.)
