Need help on cpap settings

        Want to give thanks to the helpful people here. Gave up on Nasal and went to FFM, which looks like improved both my sleep and AHI. The new mask and SSC seems to work for me. Still working on BPAP for flow limits.

        My numbers are good, except flow limitations staying 0.18 to 0.2 at 95%. I am sleeping better, longer periods at time, but still wake up  multiple times a night and don't feel real rested.Is there still room for improvement if I used an Aircurve VAuto? I don't mind the money if it improves my sleep further. Is it possible to go the other way and do worse on a Bpap? Thanks for your opinions.

You can set up the VAUTO to be exactly the same settings you have now so if bipap does not work you would be where you are now. IF you plan to buy I would suggest Supplier #2 from the supplier list at the top of the site. I bought a used one for 799. Only one month of use great machine and a great company. Quite a few have purchased their machine there.

Based on your flow limits remaining relatively high while on an EPR of 3, your next step will involve a Bi-Level machine.

            I wanted to get some help on new to me Vauto bipap machine. I have , with this boards help, been able to reduce my rera, hypopnea and overall Ahi numbers. Sleeping better but still having awakenings. I have a new to me Vauto and would like some advice on settings. I would like to improve on  the flow limitations without drastic changes, as other results improved. My current settings are cpap 13.4 pressure with epr setting at 3. Use FFM now with ssc. These are last two nights on the air sense 10.

On the VAUTO I would start with ps=4 EPAP=9 - 15 high.  That would give you a 13 of your old cpap with an exhale of 9 and the ps should help with your flow limits.

I can agree with Staceyburke on this. Mode Vauto, EPAP min 9.0, PS 4.0 IPAP max 16. Pushing up the top of the range "just in case". Basically, the increased pressure support should help with residual flow limitation. Your results are already excellent, so the focus needs to be on comfort and sleep quality.

Should these be my starting settings. Ti max-2.0, Ti min0.3, Trigger med, cycle med. This was used machine , i believe these are defaults?
