Need info on UARS and PES testing

Need info on UARS and PES testing
Is PES testing only done on patients that are not on CPAP/BIPAP and have shown low AHI on other sleep studies?
If UARS is found, what is the solution for it? More pressure, just like for OSA?

I have yet ANOTHER SLEEP STUDY planned for next week through another sleep doctor. But if PES testing won't be beneficial to me, then I need to cancel it.

I'm on BI-LEVEL, and I still think I'm taking considerable effort breathing at night some nights. I upped my maximum IPAP from 14, to 18 since I was maxing out. My last sleep study showed I stayed at low level 8/4 and 9/5 all night long. But at home, I get much higher pressures, with no events.

Please thoughts please on PES testing, and if I need it in my case.

As previously posted:
Quote:Myron, you recently dropped pressure significantly, and had very good results. Your pressure is increasing disproportionately on minor flow limitations. I would suggest a small increase in minimum EPAP pressure and slight increase in PS may resolve this. I categorically reject the idea you should do PES testing, invariably leading to surgery. You do not have a severe problem that merits that response. My approach would be go go to EPAP min of 5.0 and increase PS to 4.4.
