RE: Need to convince my Dr to prescribe an Auto BiPAP
I'm not familiar with how your insurance works, but here, the prescription is for a therapy. Insurance pays for thice for that therapy regardless of brand. Anyway, the Philips Dreamstation 700 series is the auto BiPAP. The best argument for BiPAP is the presence of flow limitation, RERA and hypopnea associated with upper airway resistance, and an intolerance of CPAP therapy. Since you have no prior experience on CPAP and felt relief after a titration test, I think you will find any therapy to be an improvement. Good luck.

That's the exact kind of list I came here looking for, Sleeprider! Thanks! I'll push the doc for a BiPAP if the sleep report mentions these. Well, I'll try what the insurance pays for first and if that isn't great I'll be coming back to the forums for alternatives.

What Sleeprider says is true again. Take my info and statements as true but his are better in this case. A machine is better than no machine. If you must get Respironics, we'll help make it a good as it can get.
