Need to get Data from Resmed Vpap Auto (not the S9)

Need to get Data from Resmed Vpap Auto (not the S9)
New user! My sleep specialist left town, and my new diagnostician wants to see my sleep data. I am 10,000 miles away from home for the next 6 months, so I can't bring the machine in for service. It is a Resmed Vpap Auto - an older unit I bought used for travel. It looks to me like there is no place for an SD card in the back; what do you recommend? How can I get data from the machine onto my computer, to send to my doctor in the USA? He thinks many of my neurological symptoms may be due to inadequate air flow. Many thanks in advance - I am sure you have been askedthis before.

RE: Need to get Data from Resmed Vpap Auto (not the S9)
G'day wilkr, welcome to Apnea Board.

You mention your VPAP Auto is not an S9, so I assume it would be an S8, which is now an obsolete system (though there are many still giving excellent service). The S8 uses a special Resmed-only data card which in turn requires a special card reader. Supplier #1 carries the reader for around US$50, but apparently the card is not available. There is also a USB adapter avaiulable from the same place for around US$50. This requires the use of ResScan software, available here: http://www.apneaboard.com/forums/Thread-...hines-only

Hope this helps.

I did a search on eBay for S8 data card and found several for sale.
$8 to $13 USD.
