Good stuff, B36... thanks. I also found a great little app called Swift3... it has a free version (good for one month), but I paid the 3 bucks for the full app).

It's one of the best and most intuitive keyboard replacements for the standard ICE Android keyboard.

Cool

Swiftkey is a very good and amazingly predictive keyboard. I've used it before but my keyboard of choice is Thumb Keyboard. I have a long email address and some other things that I program into memory on shortcut buttons which is very useful for long words that are used repetitively. It's a very highly customizable keyboard both in look and functions. That's what I probably like best about Android...the ability to customize and personalize your phone. The iPhone is a great phone for those that are just looking for an easy to use smartphone, but they all look pretty much the same with their 4 x 4 homescreen app grids (now 5 x 4 on the iPhone 5). With Android, you can do so much more if you put a little effort into it.

Hi SS:
Some android apps that I have found useful:
Root Explorer, Titanium Backup, AdAway, LBE Privacy, DroidWall, Zoner Antivirus.
You might need to get root access before you can install some of them (Root Explorer).

Thanks Pssnn!

I've heard about rooting an Android, but I'm told that doing so voids my warranty. Bummer. Thinking-about

Watch out SS...sounds like pssnn is an Android power user! I'm too chicken to root my phone and am happy with stock. My latest and greatest app addition is called Easy Battery Saver. It has several different power saving modes and I use it on Intelligent Mode and it is Amazing how much more battery capacity I'm getting with it. In Intelligent Mode, it gains significant battery capacity by shutting down mobile data and background sync when the screen is off.

Cool B36...

My brother is pretty high-tech and he didn't even attempt to root his own Android... he had an uber-geeky friend do it for him.
