Thanks so much for the feedback on this.

Question for those of you with Macs....

There are two menu systems - the one at the top and the one at the left side.... are both of them acting like this, or just the one at the top only?

Thanks for helping me trouble-shoot this thing!

My MAC has problems with just the menu system at the top.

Membership in the Advisory Member group should not be understood as in any way implying medical expertise or qualification for advising Sleep Apnea patients concerning their treatment. The Advisory Member group provides advice and suggestions to Apnea Board administrators and staff on matters concerning Apnea Board operation and administrative policies - not on matters concerning treatment for Sleep Apnea. I think it is now too late to change the name of the group but I think Voting Member group would perhaps have been a more descriptive name for the group.

I do not experience any issues with the menu on the left side of the screen. Only occurs in the menu across the top. Thinking-about

Howdy, Doc...

If clicking on www.ApneaBoard.com takes you back to the old forum, something may be wrong with your browser, a virus perhaps?

The old forum URL is here:

http://s7.zetaboards.com/Apnea_Board/index/

Is that what you're seeing, or does it look like the pictures that cbramsey posted in this post?

Huh

With regard to these issues on Macs, I'm pretty sure that on those Mac browsers, there is an issue with the drop-down menu interfering with the moving Flash panel below those menus as they are expanded. The ApneaBoard.com website code seems to be pretty standard.... the problem seems to be that the browsers in question (Mac versions) aren't coded to handle the flash content correctly, I think, which is actually an issue with those browsers, not the web page. I can't change the code of web browsers, unfortunately... Thinking-about

For those of you having issues: do you have the latest version of Chrome and Apple Safari? If so, perhaps your browser's Flash plugin needs to be updated. I don't know what's going on for sure.... and I don't have access to a Mac to check things... so if anyone has more info, please let me know.

Thanks! Coffee

SS,

Apple products aren't flash friendly...but there are menu script menus that do not require flash. In fact, on an iPad or iPhone the menus won't even load as neither of those devices have flash on them.

Alternatives to flash: html5, javascript, swfobject, ajax, Hype, CSS....or provide a html alternative to browsers not flash friendly. Search engines have issues with flash which is another reason for an alternative.

Liz

PS, yes, all my browsers were the current versions.

Liz, are you sure about the iPad & iPhone? I've tested the site in several iPad/iPhone emulators online and the menus load and work fine... some of them have the converted top menu for smart phones that I installed, (which works fine) others have the drop-down menus that look the same in standard browsers... all of which work fine on these emulators... Thinking-about

Here's some where the web page loads and menus work fine (works fine on others I've tried also):

http://iphonetester.com/

http://transmog.net/iphone-simulator/

http://interactiveiphone.com/

http://ipad-emulator.org/

Also, we've had other people test the site using Androids and iPhones and no one yet has said that they couldn't see the menus at all. Huh

Thanks for the feedback... Not sure what's going on here. Dont-know

I downloaded and installed flash 11.3.300.268 but nothing changed. The menus on the left side work properly, also unchanged. I'm running Mountain Lion.

The menus work properly on my iPad (on the desktop version of the website).
