Ramps and lower minimum pressures are comfort features, so if you are comfortable at 8 that's probably fine.
Except for one or two things. You haven't told us your AHI or leak rate. As long as your AHI is below 5 and your leaks are under control then what you're doing is not causing any problems.
I would recommend that you stop changing your pressure settings and monitor your AHI and leak rates. After that, if every thing else is fine, you can make adjustments to try and get your AHI even lower.
