New Mask Higher AHI

New Mask Higher AHI
I just checked my AHI readings since I've been using a new mask, the AHI has almost doubled. It's the exact
same mask, replacement. It felt like it fit better and stayed in place more. How could that happen?

RE: New Mask Higher AHI
Without seeing a before and after OSCAR I can only venture a guess that the old mask maybe was leaking a lot. Given enough leaks, the therapy and reporting accuracy diminishes as the PAP attempts to compensate for the high leak rate. I don't know whether or not this is applicable to your situation.

I know this is an oscar driven site but my machine is not supported. Mask leaks in my case were not the problem.
The dream station ahi mask fit and hours are the only thing I get. It's f-ing weird how wearing the exact same replacement mask would have such different results. Might as well say 2+2 does not equal 4 anymore. Jeeeze. WTF!

RE: New Mask Higher AHI
If your leak rate was low, then your new mask is probably not the problem. There are many variables that make up the AHI number, and our sleep quality is not the same night after night. Therefore, you can have varying numbers.

Without being able to see your complete data, there is no way for us to advise.
