New - Need help with OSCAR
Hi!  I'm new to these boards and need help with OSCAR.  I downloaded the new 1.1.0 OSCAR, and am trying to set it up. I removed and locked the SD card from my pap machine and inserted it into my computer. The welcome page came up, and I clicked the cpap importer button and it started downloading. It asked me to choose a folder but did not suggest a folder as I expected would.  So I started to type in OSCAR and a folder named OSCAR_Data came up, so I chose that. Then nothing happened.   Next time I tried, a list of my documents came up.  This list is mostly documents I have created and scans, but it does contain the OSCAR_Data.  Somehow I got it to now show up a list of items titled 'my computer', but there is nothing about OSCAR to select.  So what do I do now?  Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks for any help you can offer.

RE: New - Need help with OSCAR
The CPAP Importer needs to import the data from your SD card.  If you are using Win10 it may be something like E:\
If you are on  Mac it should show up in finder, your desktop, and /Volumes/ so point the importer to one of these locations.  If you can't see your SD card at all then it may be possible your SD card reader may be malfunctioning.

The OSCAR_Data folder was created when you installed OSCAR and should be under your Documents folder.  That is the default location OSCAR stores the data AFTER it is imported from the SD card.

RE: New - Need help with OSCAR
Thank you for responding.  This morning I was so frustrated that I decided to try something crazy.  I pulled up the OSCAR welcome page, and without inserting the SD card in my computer, clicked on the  cpap importer button.  It started 'downloading' as usual and up popped the wrong file location as usual.  Since I had not inserted anything, I assume it was not reading anything.  Does that mean that my SD card is no good?  It's the original SD card that came with my pap machine which I have only had since 12/30/19.

Is your card unlocked when you place it in the computer?

Cards do go bad sometimes. Do you have another SD card handy to try?

Your SD card, when inserted in your PC, should show up as an additional drive.  Try using your file explorer to see if you can see the contents of your card.   Trying this will go along way in determining if your card is good or bad.  I didn't see where you stated the type of O/S you are using.  Please advise if you're using Linux, Mac, or Windows and which version.

I will try my husband's SD card. He has a couple of years older version of the same pap machine. I'll try that. If his works, then I guess that proves that mine is bad. I'll let you know in a few minutes what I find out.

Well, I'm shocked. Using his SD card from his cpap machine, I get the same result. OSCAR does not suggest a file, and my usual useless stuff pops up. So I guess my card is not bad. There is something else going on.

Crimson Nape, I will try seeing what I can learn from the SD card itself. I use Windows 10 64bit.
