RE: New and Confused
How about a photo of the screen where it shows the 1/2 it might help us guess ( I have never heard of it and have no idea either but context may help)

Just a guess on 1/2 inquiry: I saw on PDF of S9 to push the knob to switch between treatment screens 1 and 2. Maybe 1/2 is referring to "pages" as in there are 2 pages of treatment screen settings.

Thank you for posting. That's exactly what it is. I was about to take a picture but thankfully you posted before I did. I just saw a bunch of data and really didn't know what to think so I went on what I assumed was a 1/2 treatment 2/2 treatment as the machine capable of having two different settings. But, that can't be because if it were I'd see some of the same information from 1 treatment to the next but I don't. Plus I don't think I'm capable of posting pictures yet since I'm very new to the board. Thanks again.

RE: New and Confused
Got everything in except the new humidifier chamber box. Tried to test it out with a quick nap. Is it normal for the whole experience to feel weird?

Somethings I did do. I turned down both IPAP and EPAP. IPAP is sitting at 6.4 and EPAP is at 3.0. It just felt a little overwhelming at 8.0 and 4.0. I shut off the ramp mode just so I know what pressure I'm getting from the get go. Also I can't tell if it's the mask or if it's just I'm not used to but there were moments where I felt like I was suffocating, or like I was under the covers.  Is it normal to feel a little woozy after you come off the machine?

Is anything I just wrote a bad idea?

Hello Sky Puncher

Well done on setting yourself up. I am not familiar with your machine and cannot offer advice on that but I wanted to write to say that yes, it is and can be over whelming to start with. However do persevere as successful therapy really gives your life back. The journey may be quick or may be long but when you get there you will never look back.

Others will chime in to offer relevant advice but I wish you good nights.

No, you're not off base or anything like that when it comes to feeling like you're starting over. Because I ended up on ASV, I kinda started ever 3 times. So you can check OK on the sanity check.

As for pressure settings and feeling like you're suffocating, EPAP of anything under 6 can cause or contribute greatly to that suffocation feeling. As you feel up to it, I'd raise EPAP Min to at least 6. From there, you may need or want to edit other settings, like IPAP etc.
