[CPAP] ResMed AirSense 10 Auto AHI report inaccuracy?
#1
Question
ResMed AirSense 10 Auto AHI report inaccuracy?
I have had a ResMed S9 Auto setting 9-13 pressure with no difficulty. I have had 12 nights with new AutoSense Air 10 same setting. The pressure reading states 12.8. Since so close to max of 13, does this mean I should increase pressure? The AHI states 0.3. However, I am noticing "startle" awakenings--about 4x last night. Is the AHI reading accurate?

Hi and welcome to Apnea Board,
.3 AHI is an excellent number. Is this an average over the 12 days, or for one night?

There could be many reasons for awakenings. I wouldn't raise pressure without really looking at your data. Download the free SleepyHead software. That will give you a better idea of what is going on.

If you had an AHI of 0.3 average per hour and you awoke 4 times in 8 hours of sleep, that would be 0.5 per hour. I expect the 0.3 is correct. Could be 2 in 6 hours, etc...
