So I have a question about hose covers. If you are using them to make the hose softer and less irritating to the touch what did you do if your mask has a short tube coming off of it like the p10?

You can buy short hose covers. A couple of the suppliers on the suppliers list offer them. You can sew your own. A quick fix is take an old sock or two and punch a hole in the toe area. You can fasten it with rubberbands. It feels nice and cozy. Just like a teddy bear. I can't believe I just said that!

I use a standard length hose cover and use it to cover the short hose, mask coupler and the portion of the Climateline hose that shares the bed with me. About 1-foot of hose near the machine is exposed. This makes all parts of the hose I can come in contact with comfortable, and of course the Climateline does not condense water near the machine. Since my wife uses the P10 mask, hers is set up the same way. We cinch the cover with the Velcro just an inch or two away from the mask frame.
