New to CPAP and bouts of dizziness?

RE: New to CPAP and bouts of dizziness?
My wife has the same machine as you. Six days after she started using it, she made a trip to the Emergency Room.
She had a real bad headache and couldn't hardly stand up without wanting to fall over.
She had been feeling bad for a few days.
The ER doctor said her ears were full of fluid and that her sinuses were not draining properly.
The Health Care people had her humidifier set at 3 to start her off with, we found out from the sleep study center when I went for my first test, that 2 was a good setting and few people really need it set at 3.
We reset it to 2 and she has had no more trouble feeling dizzy or sick with a headache.
The ER doctor wanted her to stop using her machine for a few days, but she continued to use it at a lower humidifier setting.

This article about "When things go wrong with PAP" from ASAA it does mention nasal congestion and headache or ear pressure as some of the issues might occur while using CPAP

All very informative and a lot to talk to my Dr about. I did not discontinue use of my cpap. Please know that I am not relying on this board as a diagnosis as only my Dr can do that but for support. Thank you.
