This actually worked well to significantly reduce CA events. Flow limitation is up as well as OA, however we have seen these at higher levels in earlier results, so overall, this is a helpful test that by removing the variable pressure, shows the pressure at 8.0 is a bit too low.. In terms of CA the fixed pressure is a great success, but we know that there can be a lot of variation in those events from night to night. I'd like to make a small move to increase the Pressure to 8.4 and see if we can reduce OA with a small pressure increase.

We did note that the clusters of CA's went away which were during higher pressures.
I will make the change. We are also going to go through another mask fit exercise using the Mask Fit guidelines from this website. She might have it too tight now.
We had loosened the mask up a bit. Looks like we need to work on the fitting a bit more. Overall the numbers are good. CA's are down and back to the "normal" situation of appearing in last period of the sleep.
The small increase in pressure dropped OA to an acceptable level and the use of fixed pressure is working to keep CA in a reasonable range. We are currently using EPR at 1 for comfort. Turning off EPR might reduce CA, but may also be less comfortable. I think you can keep these settings and work on leaks for a while. At some point we can try turning off EPR and see what that does.

Sounds like a good plan. I talked with her about the leakages that occurred early. She indicated that she was getting used to the increase in pressure and was moving the mask around a bit. I noted that during the entire last sleep session she had the leak rate was much lower. So we will leave the mask as it is and see how she adjusts to the pressure.
Another item that might have something to do with the CA's during her last sleep session each evening is that she takes sleeping pills which are pretty strong. Without them it will take her hours to get to sleep. So possibly after she gets up for bathroom break the meds are wore off enough that she does not sleep as well during that last session.
We will be offline for a couple of days. Going to a cabin at 8300 ft, no cell service and no internet. We will try to get an update posted on Saturday.

ok, good to know. We did meet with a pulmonary doctor today. He is ordering a sleep study with the intent to see if an AVS machine is needed or an automatic. I showed him some of the recent Oscar reports. I told him that the CA's have been higher but lower EPR helped as well as the higher minimum pressure. We was just looking at the overall AHI value hitting over 5 for various hours within the evening. But it will be good to get a sleep study done. It will most likely be a few months out however. But I will be able to review some of the detail data with this office.
We back. 2 nights up at 8300 ft or so. The numbers were good but the leaks were not good.
Think the 1st night (Oct 7)was too loose, and the 2nd night (Oct 8) was too loose. The 3rd night (Oct 9) was back at home and still think the mask is a little loose and will try further adjustments.
The 3rd night (Oct 9) shows more CA's . She says that the leaks are waking her up as she needs to adjust the mask. The leak is from the top and it goes up across her eyes. This is happening when she is on the side of the face and she moves a little and the mask moves also.
