some days feel like superman..some days feel tired

some days feel like superman..some days feel tired
I'm new to cpap therapy...my sleep study showed I have on average 29.8 events per hr. And my lowest oxygen saturation was 68%. I've been on a airsense 10 autoset for about a month...most times my events per hr. Are around .5 to .7 per hr. It seems like I felt better the first 2 to 3 weeks...lately I've been yawning a lot more during the day and feel a little tired...anyone else have this happen to them...thanks
It's exactly like that. . . . only totally different. . . . Sleep-well

sleepybeaver, it happens to a lot of us, normally you get that sudden burst of energy from the sleep study and the first few days / weeks of CPAP, then it seems to go backwards and over the next few months slowly improves and stays like that as long as you keep using your CPAP. If you dont continue with CPAP, you go back to where you were within a cople of days. I look at that now you are starting to "heal" and it takes time for our bodies to heal and adjust to getting the vital oxygen the we have been deprived of for so long.
Just keep at it and try not to think too much about it, good luck.

For me, after the honeymoon, came the nitty gritty

Took some time, figuring out what works and what don't, never felt like superman but some days feel more rested than others

No two days are the same

Hi sleepybeaver,
Just hang in there, you will settle into it over time.

I don't know if this might help you, but my energy level was greatly helped by taking a B Complex. I eat a very healthful diet and didn't think I needed any Bs. But I guess as we age our bodies don't process & put them to work as well as they did. Or maybe the apnea puts a greater strain on them than normal. So finally took Momma's advice. And boy, what a difference! Even though I am still sleepy all the time (not on a CPAP yet) I have much more energy to get things done.
