I think if I could just get to sleep on my side, I might/hopefully stay on my side but not sure. Anyone else have trouble falling asleep on their side?

Hi me50,

On my bed I use a 3" thick foam topper I bought at Costco; otherwise I would get numbness (and eventually soreness from the pressure on my hips as if my skin was slowly becoming bruised or something, but no unusual coloration) if trying to sleep on my side.

With the soft foam topper, I am able to sleep on my side okay.

Thanks.

Me50, we move around so much in our sleep I think it would be difficult to try to sleep one way or the other. I believe it is better just to let our bodies sleep in the position they want to sleep in. It took me a while but now i just put my mask on, lay down in whatever position i feel like and drop off, try not to over think this. Maybe you could try putting some pillows against your back to try to keep you in a position on your side at least at the start of the night, hope this helps.

Thanks. I don't have much choice to lay on my back to get to sleep at least. when I lay on my side (doesn't matter which one), I lay there awake. Not sure what I do when I am asleep but when I wake up, I am on my back. Of course, the bed is full and add 3 dogs to the mix, well you get the picture lol. love the dogs though and won't make them leave the bed!! they aren't what causes me to wake up every 2 hours (and neither is potty breaks). So, I will just keep rocking along and hopefully, I will soon get an 8 hour sleep without waking up every 2 hours!! I am pretty used to it after doing that for over 7 years now!!
