[Health] Low oxygen even with CPAP
#11
RE: Low oxygen even with CPAP
The Doctor wouldn't prescribe oxygen if it wasn't safe for you. One thing you can check on sleepyhead is to look at your events and see how long they're lasting.
It might give you an idea if the sleep apnea is causing the low O2 or if it's something else.

RE: Low oxygen even with CPAP
You are using your Resmed Autoset for her in "for her" mode with EPR at 3 and pressures of 6-20. Your results are okay, but residual events are obstructive.  I think you would do much better with minimum pressure at 8.0.  this would give you minimum IPAP/EPAP pressures of 8/5, and would ensure your exhale pressure would rise when necessary.  Also exhale pressure (EPAP) is responsible for oxygenation, so when your SpO2 is a concern, higher "Positive End Expiatory Pressure" (PEEP) is important.

Your results are good, but since oxygen saturation is a concern, higher EPAP pressure (assuming you continue to use EPR at 3) will improve your oxygen levels as well as AHI.
