Hang in there it gets better

Hang in there it gets better
I had the worst time adjusting to therapy.
At first no sleep at all, just laying there for 8 to 9 hours with no sleep.
after a couple of weeks I would sleep in 20 minute increments all night long, I saw every hour on the alarm clock. People on this forum kept telling me to hang in there it gets better.
I am starting my 7th week.
I am now sleeping 5 hours straight per night, then I wake up and toss and turn and maybe get another hour or so of sleep out of 4 hours of being in bed.
I would call that progress. I now feel like I would rather sleep with the mask on than without it.
Just wanted to post this for anyone having doubts, cause I was about as negative as anyone has ever been.
Please keep going. The turning point for me was accepting the fact that I HAVE to make this work rather than fighting it.

Yes it does get better, but for some of us it's a struggle. Congratulations for sticking with it and turning the corner. After two years on the hose I still have non-compliant nights, but I always feel like crap the next day. It's not natural to sleep with a plastic alien strapped to your face, but with persistence and the right attitude we can get used to it and eventually reap the benefits.

Glad this is turning around for you.

Your comment reminded me of my experience. When I first started, I would tell myself that I had no choice and to stick with it. Make it work!

Now I can't imagine going to go to bed without it!

Hi I_will_never_sleep_again,
It’s great to hear that things are turning around for you with your CPAP therapy.
Keep up the good work.
