Newly diagnosed severe sleep apnea
#11
RE: Newly diagnosed severe sleep apnea
I'll just add a little to what has been said--it is hard to wait, but try and stay positive--be thankful that the problem has been discovered. My husband had an AHI of 77 in a home test (VA) and for several years he had periods of at least 20 seconds of not breathing before waking up gasping and choking. I wore earplugs and nagged--to no avail--until his hunting and fishing buddies said to get help or stay home from their excursions.
