Night Sweating / Humidity Issue
#11
RE: Night Sweating / Humidity Issue
I have found that pillows and bed linens have a bearing on whether or not my head sweats at night during hot weather. Some pillows breathe better than others. Feather or buckwheat hull pillows seem to breathe best from my experience. I also found that bed linens - specifically pillowcases - that have a finer thread count than 500 do not breathe well enough and tend to make my head sweat.

Just my experience.

Best Regards,

PaytonA

For your rainout issues there are many other threads here dealing with ResMed rainout issues. Search those and you may get a good handle on eliminating rainout. Resmed's website also has a good discussion and suggestions on dealing with rainout.

RE: Night Sweating / Humidity Issue
Hi, I experienced night sweats all the time, I have severe OSA with an AHI of 43, when I went onto CPAP within a week my night sweats disappeared, even in summer, your night sweats could be caused by your CPAP pressure not being right and your therapy not working optimumly or such things as thyroid problems or side effects of some medications, especially anti-depressant meds,( I am on Zoloft, and this can cause side effects such as night sweats, talk this over with your Doctor and Sleep Physician to find a root cause, a process of elimination is needed, night sweats are horrible.
