Noise and my solution
I am on my second machine now because my first one whined too much, the sound of the motor or fan going up and down drove me nuts. This one does something a bit similar, but much quieter. But I must be an old fuss-budget because all these noises bother me.

So what I finally figured out was:

1. Put the machine as far away and low down as I can stretch.
2. Run a fan when I go to bed.
3. Get the fan on a timer. I only need it until I fall asleep, maybe 1.4 hours to be sure.

I notice that when I wake up in the morning all sleepy and groggy that I can't hear any noise and it doesn't bother me.

I have been working all summer with an insomnia specialist and another thing I have learned is not even to think about getting into bed until I am nearly dropping. Then the noises don't bug me much because I am so tired.

Hoping this will help anyone who has problems with the noises.

RE: Noise and my solution
My fans & AC totally drown out all the CPAP noise.

What is more bothering about your complaints are
that you don't have your machine type listed or what pressures are being used.
You also need to see about getting some monitoring software going (like SleepyHead)

Just running the machine is usually not enough by itself. YOU need to know how well your therapy is working for YOU.
The reason is that sleep is a dynamic thing.
