That's good advice even though it's not directly relevant to me because I've been on insulin now for a couple of years and measure three or four times a day. But you are right, high blood sugar at or near bed time can cause thirst and that can cause drinking and that can cause waking up to pee. One of the times I check it is generally about an hour before bedtime. If it's low I'll have a cookie or two, or maybe adjust my evening insulin shot. If high I'll skip the cookies. Since our countries use differing measures I can't compare my measurements with yours without looking on the web for a converter, and I'm too darned lazy to do that.

I have American friends with diabetes also, and I memorised the conversion factor... Divide their numbers by 18 to get ours, or if really lazy divide by 20. So his 300 / 20 is 15 Yikes! or 16,6666667 by calculator.
