OSCAR -- Color problems

OSCAR -- Color problems
Some of the colors chosen on the OSCAR displays aren't showing up well on color displays because the intensity is too low and the line is too thin.  One example is yellow tag lines in the event lines display for RE.  Life would be easier if they were more orange.  Light green (CSR) and light blue (OA) are similar, but not quite as bad.

Suggestion:
  1.   Change Yellow to Orange, and shift the shade of light blue.
  2.   Support user color chooser or customization.
The best visual test of how a color will look is not to observe a large area, but several small areas side by side, plus a small area on the general background (white in OSCAR).  Solid color bars (like on the left hand side) don't carry over well to thin lines and dots.

I live with a black and white printer, and am often vexed with printing "color" documents in shades of grey, with anti-alising done in color shades as opposed to the character base color.  Few programmers seem to think about how their images will look in B+W.  But some of us poor people can't afford the ink and time for color printing, and send our photographs to the drug store printer when we have real pictures to share. /rant

Have you tried changing them to suit your needs? If you're not familiar, go to File > Preferences > Events. Find the event you wish to change and click on the color chip to select a new color.

RE: OSCAR -- Color problems
I feel like an idiot -- this turns out to be a RTFM question.

It would still be good if the default intensities for a few of these colors were darkened, just MHO.
Thanks again for the quick response.

RE: OSCAR -- Color problems
Glad you raised the question.

I love the ability to customise colour choices and think how these would look would depend on your monitors etc.

I do find the narrowest line thickness is very fine, the very next line thickness is already too thick.

Don't know how we could address that.

One other question: How easy would it be to be able to change the background of the charts from white something easier on the eye?
