OSCAR 1.5.1 Crashes when Changing the Language
OSCAR 1.5.1 (OSCAR 1.5.1+master-dd495e23, according to the About screen) crashes when I tried to change the language from English to Japanese via Help -> Change Language menu.
It did not happen with 1.5.0.
macOS Ventura 13.6(22G120)

If there is anything you want me to collect for troubleshooting, please let me know.

Thanks in advance,
Hisao

This was indeed a problem in 1.5.1 and has been fixed.

Thank you for your comment.
Let me get back to you my time either tomorrow or on Friday.
I just noticed the post, but it's already midnight for me.
(I am typing from the company I don't use for OSCAR.)

Hi,

Unfortunately, it looks 1.5.1.
I attached a screencast that I uploaded to YouTube.

As you can see on macOS Ventura 13.6, OSCAR 1.5.1 crashes when I choose "Change Language" menu under Help.

RE: OSCAR 1.5.1 Crashes when Changing the Language
The first 1.5.1 (the one which is available on the web page) had the problem. It have been fix since the 1.5.1 is officially out.
The pity is what the ones after it still have the same version number (1.5.1).
I have just tested : it works on the version corresponding to the last commit number.

Can you give a copy of the screen you have when doing : Help --> Troubleshooting --> System information ?

Hi,
Please find the screen capture from "System Information" on the problematic version as attached.

It was indeed the problem with the version that I downloaded.
The following version suggested works fine.

OSCAR 1.5.1+master-cc0bc973

If renamed the old copy in the Applications folder and still have it.
Please let me know if you need anything else.

Thank you so much,
Hisao

RE: OSCAR 1.5.1 Crashes when Changing the Language
It prouve what we already told you :
- dd495e23 is the version which is in the download page : it has the issue
- cc0bc973 arrives after the issue has been fixed : there is no problem with the change of the langage.

You have to do nothing : the fix will be included in the next "official" version (probably 1.5.2 or 1.6).
