Is walknet your way of saying you walk the SD card from the CPAP machine to the PC or is it an automated process?

The former!

"Walknet" is a term I picked up back when WiFi was first becoming a thing that made it possible to not have to "walk" a data file between computers that weren't hard wired together.  That was a long time ago.   oldman

Thanks for the quick reply.  if you don't mind how do you set that up?

I have a ResMed AirSense 10 Autoset which was supplied per Rx from my pulmonologist to my DME about 18 months ago without a flash card.  In October I discovered through a new pulmonogist that the CPAP had a clinical mode.  Pursuing a manual for the clinical mode led me to that manual at this forum.

I simply inserted a flash card in the flash card slot of the CPAP.  It apparently formatted the card automatically.  I downloaded the OSCAR software from this page.  The first time I moved the flash card to my computer and the "import data" function of the software, I was able to transfer summary data from memory on the CPAP immediately, but absent the flash card, the CPAP had not been recording detailed data.  Now I start each sleep session with the flash card in the CPAP and then I transfer the data every morning by "walking" the flash card from my CPAP to my computer.

I did have to invest in a card reader as I have a SurfacePro 6 which didn't have a flash card slot.  Most desk top computers should have the slot available.  If not search the web using "SD Flash Card Reader for 'Computer X'".

That answer rambles a bit, but I hope it helps.  If you need more let me know.  Also, if having trouble go to the sub forum "Computer Support".  The experts can probably solve any problem you might be having and do so with a lot fewer words.

Ok thanks!  I manually move my sd card between the CPAP machine and my PC also. I thought you had a way to do it without moving the card back and forth. Sorry for the stupid question.

If you look up on line you can purchase a Toshiba flashair SD card that can also connect to your WiFi then an application called flashpap will copy the CPAP files from the SD card direct to your pc using WiFi, it’s not the easiest to setup and the WiFi range is pretty low for the SD card but it works well once setup.

The FlashAir card is fiddly to set up, but once you get it right, it's easy to use.  My Mac has mounted the CPAP SD card more-or-less permanently, so I just get up in the morning, start OSCAR, and it automagically downloads last night's data.

RE: OSCAR Import
"Sneaker Net" why didn't you say so?

The FlashAir above is a way to auto-magically move the data between the CPAP and the Computer. It does save wear and tear on the sneakers (Keds are recommended).

Ken38016,
Based on jaswilliams response to you I have acquired and successfully setup a Toshiba FlashAir SD Card.  It was NOT easy to configure, but I eventually discovered that I could set up my normal SSID and Password in a "Pass Through" dialog box of the FlashAir Tool app downloaded from the corresponding web page.  It's working better than 90% satisfactorily.  My computer sometimes fails to list the FlashAir in my list of "Available Networks".  I am still investigating this, but for now I know that I can remove and reinsert the SD Card from my CPAP and the problem resolves itself.  Not terribly convenient to have to do this, but at least I won't ever have to have the SD Card out of the CPAP and therefore, I won't ever accidentally forget to put it back in before going to bed at night.  And it's great when it does work.

Bonjour might be glad to know that there will be no more wear and tear on my sneakers.
