Off to see my specialist for a "progress report"

Off to see my specialist for a "progress report"
I'm off to see my specialist on Wednesday for a progress report, and to see if he is satisfied with everything.

My numbers are good as far as I'm concerned, but he is a PITA when it comes down to it, all I need to stay on side with him for is so that he signs off later in the year for my compliance numbers so I can keep my commercial and private driving licence.

Sleepyhead says I'm good, and at 98% compliance (only need to be at 80% compliance to keep my licence)... however the clinic that downloads and provides my CPAP data to my specialist uses a different program, I don't know what that program is, but I do know it doesn't give the exact same data conclusions that Sleepyhead does.

So.. fingers, toes, legs, and eyes all crossed that it goes well.  Unsure

Good luck Ockrocket.

I don't know what program your clinic uses but it's probably Encore which is Philips' inhouse software. By way of comparison, Resmed's Resscan software truncates values to an integer while #SleepyHead reports to one decmal place. The upshot is that there is a small difference in the reported values but not enough to matter unless your results are borderline.

Thanks for the info DB, I am well clear of the borderline point I think.. compliance requirement is 80% and I'm at 98% for the last 12 months, and 100% for the last 6 months according to Sleepyhead.

I can't remember what my maximum AHI point is though, but at 1.4 I think it is well within what is needed as well.

No problem with my vision Mongo, there is some question as to the state of my sanity given I was following my mates who were on their dirt bikes.. probably should have been on mine too perhaps.  Oh-jeez

I'm not sure, I think it was "rooted", but it was obviously "barking" mad at me for hitting it, so I had to "leaf" the area in a hurry.   Blink

JM, not as harsh as the pain in my chest, stomach and right knee after the hit... went in at just on 60 kph.  Oops

Trish, thanks for the good wishes.

RE: Off to see my specialist for a "progress report"
Well after a lot of stress over the last 48 hours, all is good and my specialist is happy with all my numbers.

The clinic that my test machine was supplied by, and my subsequent purchase of my Dreamstation was done through, informed me two days ago I would have to take my CPAP in so they could download my data.
Previously they have downloaded remotely, but couldn't this time according to the technician.

Then when I got to the clinic this morning (my specialist's appointment was scheduled for lunchtime today) the technician still couldn't download my data from the SD card.. OR from the machine memory either.  Huh

In the end she got it sorted out by creating a new profile for me... seems the computer software system they use decided I was probably dead or something, so would only say there was "no data present" whenever the tech tried to download my latest data.
This has something to do with the swap over to the new machine it would seem.  Thinking-about

Anyway, it all got resolved in the end... next hurdle is in August when I have to get the specialist to check it all again and submit a letter stating that I'm still fit to continue driving commercially.   Grin
