Old CPAPs

Old CPAPs
What does one do with old CPAPs? Do they just go in the trash? I've got two--an old black tower and an S9.

Any alternatives to trash?

RE: Old CPAPs
Keep them for a backup or do a search for, "donate old cpap machine". There are special originations that take CPAP donations. Avoid groups like Goodwill because they don't have the required licensing to distribute a medical device and will destroy the machine if you donate it to them.

As far as mask go, I do the trash. Simply because I wouldn’t use a 2nd hand mask, My thoughts are the same with used underware. Lol

RE: Old CPAPs
I keep an old cpap in case my current machine breaks. And I keep an old cpap machine at my father's house so I don't have to bring one when I visit. Masks go in garbage for me

Does your S9 H5i have good pogo pins for the heated climateline tube or the humidifier works fine?

Interested if you are giving it away but am in Oz.

RE: Old CPAPs
Apologies, I have been trying unsuccessfully to find a commercial source of the pogo pins to replace mine which are functioning hit and miss, other than the pogo pins, my H5i is working fine. I thought this might be an option or someone might as a result of my post point out a source where i can pick them up from.

Carrawa - Both Adafruit and Sparkfun have packs of 10 pogo pins in a couple sizes relatively cheaply, and Digikey has a wider selection for higher prices. Look for "Contacts, Spring Loaded (Pogo Pins), and Pressure"

RE: Old CPAPs
Thank you for that information. I am contacting them to see if they have the parts. Someone on another forum mentioned they exist and are easy to buy have not yet responded to the names of the companies or the specific parts.
