One set pressure vs auto adjusting

One set pressure vs auto adjusting
Good Morning,

When I got my machine the technician set my CPAP at a pressure between 6-14. I went back and they have now set the pressure at 9.5. No auto adjusting.

I was curious as to why they would have set only one pressure verses allowing the machine to base the pressure on how you are breathing.

I probably should have asked them... but I didn't...

I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts. Is a set pressure better?

Thanks

Do you have OSCAR charts before and after?

Some people think fixed pressure is better for certain specific cases, such as when you are highly sensitive to changing pressure.

However, I would be quite surprised if this is the logic behind the technician's decision, especially if they are a DME employee. This is because it seems to be very rare for them to take such intense interest in your treatment...
