I looked it up, and found this:

toad·y /ˈtōdē/
noun: toady; plural noun: toadies
1. a person who behaves obsequiously to someone important.

Then I had to look up "obsequiously" and found:

ob·se·qui·ous·ly adverb. marked by or exhibiting a fawning attentiveness

Then I had to look up "fawning" and found:

fawn·ing /ˈfôniNG,ˈfän-/ adjective. To seek favor or attention by obsequious behavior.

Dont-know

Thanks SuperSleeper. After I posted this, I thought that it was not in the right place. Was hoping someone would move it.

RE: Online hiatus
Uh oh, for us in the US, justMongo, could be accused of making a sexual reference, if not for this wiki definition:

Spotted dick is a pudding popular in Britain, containing dried fruit (usually currants or raisins) commonly served with custard. Spotted refers to the dried fruit (which resemble spots) and dick may be a contraction or corruption of the word pudding (from the last syllable) or possibly a corruption of the word dough[1] or dog, as "spotted dog" is another name for the same dish with the use of plums rather than currants. Another explanation offered for the word "dick" is that it is the German word for "thick." In any event, it sounds disgusting!
